Most of our friends know about our church because of all our stories. Stephen and I lead the band most Sundays and we have decided that our mission statement for the band at our church is:
BRING THE FUNK
To most people this relates to a musical style that blends soul, jazz and R& B. At our church we relate this more to its original meaning once defined in dictionaries as body odor. Our church is full of funk but its a beautiful thing. From drug addicts, prostitutes to ex-cons our church has funk!
Today was just another Sunday, People always pray for each other during the music. Its kinda like a dog pile of people all praying for each other.
Below is a picture of our friend Dave. Many of you who have come to our church have met Dave. He is one of our sound guys. We call him Security Dave because he was the church security guard right after he came off the streets. Don’t all churches hire security guards out of the gutter?
Dave just got his drivers license. He also just received a grant from the state for new teeth. He had all his teeth pulled and Stephen and I had the priviledge of driving him home from the dentist after the procedure. Lets just say that I am brushing and flossing more regularly now after seeing him go through this. Ok, and won’t ever use meth.

Great new site my friends…I look forward to meeting the girls face to face…We’ll watch out for your Gracie and you watch out for ours…this weekend she ripped into Ken Davis while on the phone without even blinking an eye! We’ll also have to get Torrey and Julia to get into a “who knows more about everything” battle
