About jetlag, birthdays and broken hearts

16 Mar

My mind hasn’t stopped since I got home.

After 30 hours of travel, I made it home Monday night and was greeted by the hugs of three sweet girls and one amazing husband.

Monday night, I fell into my bed, slept all night, woke up for Tuesday and found this crazy energy like a squirrel on caffeine, to carry me into the day.  We celebrated Julia’s 16th birthday with dinner on Tuesday night.

Julia has wisdom beyond her years. She impresses me everyday.  I can’t believe I have a 16 year old. I just love this child!

The jetlag finally hit today. I woke up at 1:00 am and never fell back to sleep.  My mind raced.  Wuluagersh’s face kept coming into my mind.    I have been praying for this child that her broken heart can mend.  Thank you for all your kind words and prayers for her.

Tonight I am letting go.  I have a bit of a crazy week, but God has me in His arms and I am going to get some  rest.  I just wanted to update you all since I knew many were praying for my trip.

Isabel is getting ready to update you as well on Shoesforkids!  Be watching for an awesome campaign in April.  She turns 12 in April and has some big plans.  As for the shoes, they are rolling in.  More news to come.

Thank you friends!
