What It’s Like to Leave Your Kid at College

We moved Julia into her college dorm today.

I am really happy I love Seattle, and that it’s relatively close to home (3 hours), because it’s going to be a great place to visit…often!

Look at how beautiful this place is at night.photo[7]

Earlier today, the sisters said goodbye. It went as expected… and crying did take place, but I protected the innocent in these pictures…

Possibly there was an “ugly cry”.

However, I don’t blame them.photo[3]

Then, the little sisters drove the three-hour drive back home with our friend, while Steve and I settled into a great condo in the city.

We have a few more events tomorrow that the “parents” needed to attend but then, we say goodbye.

Leaving a kid at college is harder than getting wisdom teeth out. It’s the right thing to do, but it hurts.

It’s like the day you bring home the baby, and you don’t know what to do, and you don’t always know if it’s going to be ok…so you just have to trust God that He has your back.
