A Symphony of Laughter

We are up and ready to go! It’s Wednesday morning here in Burkina Faso, and today, our sponsors are going to meet their children. It’s my favorite moment to witness as a trip leader.

Yesterday, we went out into a rural community to minister to the kids at BF210 Compassion center. This project had never had visitors before. They just opened two years ago, and are now impacting the lives of 183 children who are in the Compassion program. The pastor told me there are 450 other kids wanting in, and he said choosing the children to enter the program is very very difficult because all the children have needs. I can’t even imagine this task.

I had a blast yesterday because this group from Monterey Church, rocks. They know how to bring the fun and I got to witness the transformation of shy, African children to giggling, excited, energized, affectionate kids. It was like a symphony of laughter in the air.

I don’t have much time to write this morning, the internet is quite sketchy too, but I just wanted to let you all know we are doing great, the team is amazing, and all is well.

If I get better internet tonight I will surely post some more pictures.
