I woke up in Peru today.
I had a dream last night I was in Kenya, so I was slightly confused when I woke up this morning and realized that I was in Lima, Peru. Somewhere in between Kenya and Peru, I was home, but now I am back in a hotel room, and visiting kids in another part of the world. At least my Spanish comes in handy in Peru. It doesn’t do me much good in Africa, no matter how much I try.
It was hard leaving my family behind this time, I will admit. Traveling with my husband and kids was so much fun; traveling without them can be lonely. However, I always make friends.
Despite my homesick heart, I am grateful God gives me these opportunities, and blessed to be apart of these children!

1. I’m also in Peru right now but won’t get to Lima until this weekend.
2. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who tries to use Spanish in non-Spanish-speaking countries. It wasn’t helpful at all in China but it was on the tip of my tongue.
Such sweet faces, your heart must be full after each trip you take!
