Compassion sent some of our great bloggers off to Peru this week. I was asked to help with that trip, but I couldn’t because I had already planned and committed to be in Africa on another trip.
Tonight I arrived in Burkina Faso (West Africa) and will spend four days here with 12 pastors who are engaged with Compassion.
This is my first time in west Africa and I am eager to get out and see things on this unique journey.
I have been traveling for over 24 hours, my body is tired, my head is swirling and my bed is calling, but I wanted to let you all know I will be sharing my stories and picture. Before I do that, I want to share this fact.
Here in Burkina Faso and how poor it is. 1 out of every 3 kids die before the age of ten in this country. In the Compassion program, it’s one out of every 2400. So for $38 dollars a month, I do believe it makes a difference.
I am grateful I am here, more to come this week on another adventure.
