After a big month of travel to Kenya and the Dominican Republic, I took the  last couple of days off to rest and relax in the Puget Sound with my family and friends to celebrate the 4th of July. I didn’t abandon my blog, but I decided to abandon the computer for a couple of days to enjoy the sea.  It was so good and the muscles were delicious!

I have some great stories lurking in the back of my my mind to share from our Dominican Republic trip, but I am putting those stories off a little longer to give my head a chance to catch up to my heart. Until then, here is a glimpse of the beauty of the Northwest!  Praise God for days to relax.

Of course one of the benefits of the State of Washington is that we can have fireworks that explode in the air. Steve likes this part of the 4th…I tolerate it.
