Hey Friends!

We have BIG STUFF going on!  Good stuff!

Can I just tell you how excited I am?  Ok… so I started my full time job with Compassion and I am going to love it.

Next, my kids are doing their chores again, Woot woot!

But that is not all.

Shoesforkids, Isabel’s ministry, is exploding with opportunity. We are now getting between 400- 600 shoes delivered every month thanks to some huge donations and some help from various ministries.  Just over a year ago, it was 40 – 60 shoes a month.

There is more my friends!! Just this week, Donald Miller’s assistant called us and asked if Isabel would be willing to be interviewed by Donald at the “Story Conference.”  and tell her story about shoesforkids.  Isabel didn’t know who Donald Miller was, but I showed her his books.   When I told her it was in front of 500 people, she looked a little nervous, but with a resounding voice she said….”YES, OF COURSE I WILL.”

My final news is that Isabel is all signed up for a trip to the Dominican Republic for a mission’s trip in August and for the first time, since starting shoesforkids, she will get to deliver shoes.  Our youth group asked Stephen and I to lead a trip through Compassion for our church.  We have trusted God and all our kids are signed up to go, deposits have been made.  I am actually going as a volunteer on this one, purely as Mom and to help the church kids.  We get to meet Grace’s sponsored child too.  We have sponsored her for 9 years!

I know that many of you have followed our story and you have seen Isabel start her ministry.  I am so grateful for all of your help, donations, and words of encouragement.  Many of you have continued to ask how you can help.  We are in the humble process of raising support for this trip.   First time we have ever done this. The cost is around $1600 per person.  I know some of you have already helped and I am so very very grateful.

If you do feel led to support us in this trip you can make a tax-deductible donation to:

Laurelwood Baptist Church

17015 NE 6th Street

Vancouver, WA 98684

Please don’t mark the check with our names (as a memo) but instead send a note with the check saying what it is for (Dominican Republic Missions trip for Jones girls), and you will be sent a receipt. You can send me an email too at musicjones@comcast.net so I can be aware of any donations or if you have questions.

Again, I am overwhelmed and grateful at God’s goodness and how he works. I am grateful for God’s goodness in bringing people into our lives who share our vision.

Blessings,

Patricia
