The prep. begins for a new adventure. Come this Friday, with mixed emotion, I will leave my family and all the comforts of home to go to what my husband calls the armpit of Asia. I will travel 20 plus hours on a plane to Kolkata, India where temperatures are soaring well over the 103 degree mark. EEK.
About 2 months ago, Brian Seay from Compassion International, called me and asked me to help lead a blog trip to Kolkata. Apparently my estrogen was needed to help with the female dominated blog team (1 guys, 4 women). So I am extremely honored to have this opportunity to go back to India (was in Mumbai last July) and share this experience with some amazing bloggers. This type of trip is new to most of the blogging team and the idea of flying is completely frightful for a couple of our bloggers. Despite all the fears, these individuals are willingly getting on a plane to fly to a place where they will experience some of the most horrific poverty that this world offers. Did I mention the heat? Please pray for this team as they share their experiences, and see first hand the work of Compassion International.
Check out these bloggers going to India and pray for them!!
