My remodeled blog!

First glance you thought, who’s blog is this?  Where did the old blog go? Is this Patricia’s blog?  Is this Jonesbones5?

I got bored friends so I put my photoshop skills and my CSS style page skills into action and redid my blog. We’ll see how it feels.  We’ll give it some time to soak in.

About my colors here….So, I chose these new colors for the blog because I couldn’t go too girly.  My husband, who maybe writes on the blog three times a year, would never write again if I made it look too feminine.  Thus I went with soft colors mixed with a little blue, a little purple, and some earthy tones.  Please take notice of the words mixed on to the wallpaper.  That was my creativity popping out.

I kept the header picture.
This is one of our favorite pictures and it was taken about the same time our blog began.  This picture was taken it in Kenya when we were out in the middle of nowhere in the Rift Valley.  Isabel threw up that day from getting car sick, there were no roads, thus we had to take safari vehicles. It was hot and dusty.  My girls were in skirts, which was not normal at this time.  We were told to dress up for our visit with the Masaai. We had just finished visiting a Masaai family where one husband had three wives and 21 children.  It was a bit out of this world. My girls were walking back to the vehicle and Stephen and I just stopped and watched them.  If time could freeze.  Something about the way they walked that day I knew their lives had been changed forever.

So…someone asked me the other day.  What is with the name Jonesbones5.  Well, it’s simple.  Our last name is Jones, we have bones (and it rhymes) and there are five of us.  Steve was called Jonesbones in high school.  He was tall and skinny.

Other than that,  welcome to my remodel. I hope you like it!

  1. Would you mind enabling rss feeds, because this page is difficult to read on my phone. Don’t mean to be a complainer, but I figure if it would help me it would probably help others as well. Thanks 🙂

  2. I like it. It is soft and gentle and like you say not too feminine. Sometimes blogs are difficult to read because they are too busy OR they have white on black (that is way hard on the eyes) Good job. It is very nice.
I can’t imagine being in Africa. I think it might be fun but very challenging. take care
