Our Italian Villa

We have settled nicely into our Italian villa.  (I have always wanted to say that).

I must admit, I am feeling like I am living a bit of a dream. This place is amazing.

Early this morning, I hiked the 100 steps up the narrow pathway to the street and bought fresh eggs and fruit for our breakfast.  I came back to our new home… turned on some classical Italian music, and enjoyed cooking in my Italian kitchen.  Maria, the housekeeper, showed us how to make espresso the Italian way.  I haven’t used one of these before.  I am as happy as a clam today.

Stephen seems pretty darn good as well.

The girls have spent the morning lying around, giggling, singing, and playing. Isabel ate a large breakfast so she is feeling better.  She did ask if this was a baby bathtub.

My husband, in his blunt fashion, told her it was a butt bath and she belly laughed.  I am happy to see her feeling better.  The poor girl had a rough day yesterday.

It’s a little cooler today, the fog has settled in but I have no complaints.  Everywhere I look, I see something beautiful. What a gift this is.

The flat tire of yesterday is a faint memory.

It’s a good day in Positano.

  3. We have just had our bathroom in Positano refitted. We took out the ‘baby bath’ and put the basin next to the window in it’s place, that way when I brush my teeth, I will see something beautiful. Enjoy your stay!
