Steve and I will be the first to admit, our marriage isn’t perfect.
Sometimes, this 23 1/2 year old marriage has had it’s moments of feeling aged…but lets get it straight, we aren’t old!!!!Like a fine wine, a good marriage has a delicate balance of excellent flavors to provide complexity, mixed with age, mixed with some good fruit, crafted by the best of chemists.
God has been our chemist, and experience has provided our complexity.
The last couple days, have been the sweetest of fruit though.
Before we left the States, Steve called ahead to Portugal, and ordered this…
He made the girl in me feel special. I am totally enamored, and in love all over again.
A simple act of love can make for the grandest moments, and help a woman like me feel like a young bride again. Just sayin…
And then there are the funny little moments mixed in the day. Like that time when I took Steve bird watching in Portugal.
So, like a fine wine, sometimes, you just have to have the right weather, season, and fruit to make the magic happen.
And for us, this trip has been the vintage that has made our marriage become something special.
