I must admit, I am feeling especially happy and grateful this Monday morning after a fantastically busy weekend. The fantastic part was that we had three speaking events for Shoesforkids, 1540 shoes came in on Saturday alone. Sunday, 20 volunteers helped us sort all the shoes into sizes. Oh my, those little shoes for babies and toddlers are so cute.
Along with the cute shoes were the amazing people that came to help out.
All the shoes are now ready for delivery. Some went into storage and some will go to Haiti this next weekend. The shoes in the storage are bound for Haiti, Bolivia, Philippines, and the Dominican Republic.
International Making a Happy Foot Day is on Saturday so it’s not too late to send shoes. Click here to donate.
Finally, we leave on Wednesday for a trip of a lifetime with the family to Paris and Italy thanks to the frequent flyer mileage that Stephen has accumulated over the last year!
So, as you can see, I have so much to be thankful for and excited about. I am about to burst wide open with some operatic music! I am overwhelmed and filled with thanksgiving! Thank you friends for all your support!
