Packing Miracles

I can’t even express how excited I am for our trip to the Dominican Republic.

Usually I don’t enjoy packing, but it was especially fun with our group.

American Airlines is only letting us have one checked bag.  Can I say that again?  One checked bag. That means that the 25 of us have to put all our personal items in a carry on.  Now, please look at the picture above.  500 shoes for shoesforkids, 25 soccer balls, blankets for the Child Survival Program, gifts for all our Compassion sponsored children, toys, crafts. etc.

I had my doubts we could fit it all into our luggage.

But miracles happen, and this awesome team made it work. Please pray for us as we go on Friday.  We are watching Tropical Storm Emily.  It will be gone by the time we get there, but it could leave some damage in the place we will be visiting or interrupt travel.  Possibly our timing is good though.

My tribe of people.  My team.  My family and my church!

  1. Awesome. I am planning on sending some shoes your way too. The only concern I have they are all the same size. (ladies 6) which can also be for a girl depending on age.
